About ClimateProfessional
ClimateProfessional is a climate education and engagement platform focused on making climate knowledge practical, accessible, and actionable—particularly for audiences in the Global South.
Built on the belief that climate awareness must translate into real-world impact, ClimateProfessional simplifies complex climate concepts and connects them to everyday decisions, local challenges, and emerging opportunities. From infrastructure and energy systems to nature-based solutions and climate policy, the platform provides structured insights that empower individuals, communities, and early-career professionals to understand not just what climate change is, but how to respond to it effectively.
Through digital content, training programmes, and thought leadership, ClimateProfessional is shaping a new generation of climate-literate individuals who are equipped to contribute to a fair, inclusive, and locally relevant transition to a low-carbon and climate-resilient future.
At its core, ClimateProfessional exists to bridge the gap between knowledge and action, ensuring that climate education becomes a tool for agency, not just awareness.
About the Founder – Oluwafemi Ajayi
Oluwafemi Ajayi is a sustainability and climate professional, a climate educator with a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, energy systems, and climate programme delivery.
Currently, Oluwafemi works within the UK climate sector, where he contributes to place-based climate solutions, supporting initiatives across low-carbon energy systems, housing retrofit, and nature-based adaptation. His work involves research, stakeholder engagement, and programme coordination, with a growing focus on policy influence, organisational carbon accountability, and inclusive climate action.
Oluwafemi’s professional journey began in the oil and gas industry as a field engineer, before transitioning into sustainability—bringing with him a strong technical foundation and a systems-level understanding of energy and infrastructure. He holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Engineering Systems from Teesside University, England and has developed expertise in carbon accounting, climate education, and community-focused climate solutions.
Beyond his core role, he is actively involved in organisational committees focused on policy influencing, carbon reduction planning, and diversity, equity, and inclusion—demonstrating a commitment to shaping climate action not just externally, but within institutions.
Through ClimateProfessional, Oluwafemi is building a platform that reflects his broader mission: to democratise climate knowledge, amplify Global South perspectives, and equip people—especially young professionals—with the tools and confidence to participate meaningfully in the climate transition.
He is actively involved in global youth initiatives and summits, contributing to global conversations around climate knowledge and youth led initiatives.
